What is NIC MAP?
NIC MAP is a quarterly data and analysis service tracking revenue, occupancy, supply and construction data in America's Top 100 Metro Markets. NIC MAP data and analytics provide market data to owner/operators, lenders/investors, market consultants and appraisers, allowing them to identify new opportunities and manage risk.
Which types of properties are included in the NIC MAP data?
NIC MAP reports data on market rate (25+ beds/units) Majority Independent Living, Majority Assisted Living and Majority Nursing Care properties. This can include freestanding, combined and CCRC campuses for each property type.
What metrics does NIC MAP track?
NIC MAP tracks supply, demand and revenue metrics each quarter including absorption, inventory growth, construction, occupancy and revenue per unit.
What metrics are not currently tracked by NIC MAP?
NIC MAP does not currently track cap rate, expense, NOI or transaction related data.
Does NIC MAP provide historical trend data?
NIC MAP trends data on key metrics beginning in 4Q05 for the top 31 metro markets.
Can I obtain performance metrics for a specific property?
No. NIC MAP guarantees to all data contributors that their individual performance data will be kept confidential. All of the performance metrics tracked by NIC MAP are aggregated across groups of properties or by geographic region.
Which metro markets are tracked by NIC MAP?
NIC MAP currently provides full market coverage for the top 100 metro markets (defined by the U.S. Census Bureau). See our Metro Coverage Map

The top 100 metro markets tracked by NIC MAP contain 63.1% of 75+ households in the U.S.
How often is new data released?
NIC MAP data and reports are released quarterly (March, June, September, December).
How is data collected?
NIC MAP contracts with the ProMatura Group to actively survey market rate properties located in each of the top 100 metro markets to obtain proprietary metrics each quarter. This data is then reviewed and audited for accuracy.
How much are annual subscriptions?

Can I purchase reports without a subscription?
